So how does a person prospect their way to Internet Marketing Success? Honestly, there could be a lot of ways to do it but I want to talk about just a couple.
Before you can start Prospecting (calling your leads), you need to generate some leads in the first place. You could buy some quality leads to get started right away, and you can generate some leads on your own. Now when I first got started, I generated my own leads while trying my hand at Google Pay Per Click (PPC). I did get some leads but I also got a huge credit card bill because I had no idea what I was doing, and I paid for it.
You could save some money and put ads out on all the free classified sites on the internet (there are hundreds of them) or you could pay for ads in several different papers nationwide, or even online. I found newspaper ads to be too time consuming and you have to work a little bit to get good bargains on cost of your ad, how long it will post, and on what days it will post. Personally, I prefer marketing and advertising my business strictly on the internet, it's just easier that way for me. You will have to decide for yourself what style of advertising you prefer. I have found a way to blast ads to the search engines which has proven to be very effective. They rarely get seen by people, but that's ok, the point is to have the search engine spiders to find them. When the search engine spiders find enough of your website links, they begin to rank you. More links mean a higher rating. Can you imagine what you could accomplish in Search Engine Optimization if you are able to blast 2 billion ads daily? Another very effective way to generate tons of leads that want to talk to you and look forward to your call, is through Social Networking resources like MySpace, Facebook, and many many others. These avenues of business building can actually be somewhat fun to participate in. You make friends, play games, and keep in touch with each other through different program applications. Facebook is especially fun for that.
If you are really building your business on a budget, you might just try creating tons of content pages. Programs like Squidoo.com make it very easy to create some content on just about anything you want to write about. You don't have to be an expert to create a squidoo lens, they are free, and very easy to do. These also are very effective at getting you ranked in the search engines. Just be sure to decide upon the best keywords for your business and use them in your lens. Add some photos, maybe a video or two, and you've got some great content that people will be attracted to.
If you start implementing one or all of the things I've mentioned above, you are going to have a boat load of leads to call. As you well know, it's important to call a new lead as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the more your lead has a chance to find someone elses business. So how does one human being go about contacting 100-200 leads a day?( or even just 25-50 a day) Easy, you might consider using an Automated Prospecting System. Imagine how much business you could get done in one day if you were able to call 100's or even 1000's of people in the span of a few hours. More importantly, why not make the best use of your time and week through the curious and the tire kickers and just talk to people that are really serious about a home based business. Even more important, if an automated prospecting system works very well for you, and generates tons of leads, business, and sales - imagine how easy it will be for your new associates to duplicate your process. After all, there is nothing better than a team of people that can REALLY make money like the person that signed them up. Business blooms when everyone is making some money. Don't you think?
Of course, you can always call your leads one by one and spend an entire day doing it. I would rather not spend every waking hour of my day working my business. After all, I left my job because I didn't want to do that. I'd rather be spending time with my family, traveling, and enjoying my retirement while I'm still young enough to do so.
